Redelinghuys is a versatile artist who achieves extraordinary realism whether painting landscapes or still lifes. He was born in Hartswater in the Northern Cape. He obtained a Diploma in Graphic Design in 1991 from the Pretoria Technikon. He lives and works in Nieu Bethesda.

With an academic background in design and interest in all things creative encompassing garden design, his move towards painting was a natural progression. His painting is a personal and spiritual experience encompassing life and love within the ancient traditions of western art.
