As COVID-19 spreads, there isn’t a corporation yet who hasn’t been significantly impacted and tasked with adjusting to the new “norm”. Living rooms have been turned into conference rooms, studies and classrooms. Online applications have become the new locations for meetings, social gatherings and activities. Daily grocery store visits are discouraged. Everything we once knew is changing.

The fear around sanitation, or rather the lack thereof, is overwhelming. But it has also shown infinite sacrifice and kindness from corporates, healthcare workers and hospitals across the globe. They are all doing their utmost to help prevent the spread and help those affected by COVID-19.

Sanitech Hygiene, a leading service provider of professional washroom hygiene services, is filling the gaps in South Africa. Sanitech has been hard at work providing sanitation services during South Africa’s 21-day lockdown. From servicing toilets in informal settlements and aiding those working on the mines, to decontaminating corporate spaces, Sanitech continues to improve health and sanitation.

Says Waco International CEO Stephen Goodburn: “We are committed to fight the spread of COVID-19 and keep South Africans safe. Sanitech is equipped to decontaminate all business environments including offices, factories and call centres. This service is available to businesses delivering essential services during lockdown, or to those businesses wanting to guarantee a safe working environment once the lockdown period has ended.”

On the other side of the world in the United Kingdom (UK), the National Health Service (NHS), a government-funded medical and healthcare service in the UK, is facing unprecedented challenges due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Premier Modular, a premier supplier of modular building solutions - also to the healthcare industry, including the NHS - has been working tirelessly to help provide extra capacity. Over the next three weeks, they’re set to design, install and provide two 48-bed emergency wards for Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCG) in East London (UK).

Premier Modular owns a fleet of temporary buildings for urgent use and is currently developing medium-term and permanent solutions for different types of facilities by integrating the COVID-19 design from the NHS. Through its five factories, the company is able to run production for the set solutions simultaneously, giving them the ability to produce 260sqm of hospital space per day on a single shift.

End.
