Business Science was music to Julia's ears at the beautiful UCT campus. After an exemplary spell, she started her articles in Financial Services at KPMG in Johannesburg. She spent four years making light work of bank treasuries in an audit capacity and in her final year, hit a high note when she led the derivatives advisory group and completed her CFA exams.
She decided to change her tune from the world of accounting and audits, and injected some colour into her horizons by spending a year studying a music, arts and theology degree in Sydney. It wasn't long before she returned to add her voice to the rich South African choir and to join the Class Of programme.
Over the last two years, she has immersed herself in RMB Morgan Stanley as a platinum analyst; spent time in FICC structuring and selling fixed income hedge solutions, followed by a term in Principal Investments, where she sought harmonies in mezzanine-style debt. She now enjoys the stretch of Debt Capital Markets, invests her personal time as a member of the RMB Fund, and stays fit as a fiddle doing triathlons.
