Biography

Prince Mashele is a well-known and influential South African political scientist and author. In addition to being one of the country’s leading commentators, he is a sought-after political consultant, strategist and public speaker who has done work for a number of local and international organisations and companies. He previously served as a political analyst for Nedbank Capital and has taught political science at the University of Pretoria. He served as a speechwriter in the Presidency under former President Thabo Mbeki. Mashele has co-authored the best-selling book, The Fall of the ANC: What Next? and has also written The Outsider: The Biography of Herman Mashaba and The Death of Our Society. Mashele has a Master’s degree in Political Science from Rhodes University.
