RMB recognised in Global Trade Review’s Best Trade Bank Awards 2022

RMB has received the prestigious Best Trade Finance Bank 2022 award in South Africa (fourth consecutive year) and Zambia by Global Trade Review (GTR). 

The GTR Leaders in Trade awards for Africa celebrate the best trade finance banks in the region, based on submissions sent to GTR and input from industry experts.

Said Louis du Plessis, Head of Trade Finance at RMB: “Coming out of the Covid-19 pandemic, we fortunately saw a rebound in overall trade activity. However, our clients also required a lot more support due to global market volatility including high commodity prices. We were able to successfully collaborate with them to navigate a testing trade environment.”

Recently RMB partnered with Tradystream an AI enabled trade finance platform. This is just one of the elements of RMB’s continued efforts to streamline and digitise its trade finance processes.

“We are honoured to be recognised by GTR as Best Trade Finance Bank in both South Africa and Zambia.  We continue to purposely drive innovation  by producing state-of-the art trade finance platform capabilities and we have a pipeline of new digital initiatives which will be to the further benefit of our clients,” concluded du Plessis.
