RMB and FNB extend their lead as the best platform-based foreign exchange providers for a 6th year
RMB and FNB’s ability to provide foreign exchange and cross-border solutions through a single business unit and trusted digital platform has seen them stretch their lead as the "Best Foreign Exchange Service Provider in South Africa". Their world-class offering was once again recognised with top honours for the sixth consecutive year at the 2022 World’s Best Foreign Exchange Provider Awards hosted by Global Finance Magazine. RMB and FNB Namibia have also won the Best Foreign Exchange Provider 2022 in Namibia – a first time for the country in this specific category.
Says Anthony Grant, CEO of Foreign Exchange at RMB and FNB: "Being named the Best Foreign Exchange Provider in South Africa for the sixth consecutive year is a true testament to our 'client at the centre’ ethic. It's an honour for our team that prides itself on developing innovative and contextual foreign exchange solutions. The accolade recognises our efforts to offer the best foreign exchange solutions to a wide range of clients, such as individuals, corporates and financial institutions."
FNB CEO, Jacques Celliers, says that foreign exchange and cross-border solutions are key to the efficiency of the global financial system. "In a world that continues to grapple with restrictions imposed by COVID-19, it's become increasingly important to innovate to help clients have easy access to forex and other cross-border solutions. Fortunately, we are significantly ahead of this challenge due to our early investment in our digital platform and interfaces such as our App, Online and Branches that cater to the evolving needs of our retail and commercial clients.”
RMB and FNB facilitate foreign exchange transactions and cross-border payments through a single foreign exchange business unit that offers a range of solutions for clients' unique needs and requirements. They were awarded winners based on benchmarks that included transaction volumes, market share, scope of global coverage, customer service, competitive pricing, and innovative technologies.
Says Philip Chapman, CEO of RMB in Namibia: "The award recognises our efforts to offer the best solutions to a wide range of clients ranging from individuals to corporates and financial institutions. As a trusted platform-based business, technology has enabled us and transformed the forex landscape in recent years. Our clients have the flexibility to manage their currency risks and cash flows, making inward and outward cross-border payments easier, quicker and more transparent.”
