Biography

Samantha Singh‑Jami leads the Africa (excluding South Africa) research team at RMB, where she and her team analyse macro-economic developments, policy dynamics and market implications across the continent. She also serves as a rates and credit strategist. In this role, she is responsible for producing FX, local debt and sovereign credit research on African economies. She travels extensively across the continent, engaging with policy‑makers, clients and broader RMB teams in key jurisdictions. Samantha joined RMB in November 2022, following around 15 years in similar roles at other South African banks. She holds a BCom degree in Economics and completed postgraduate studies in business, all in South Africa.
