Tshepo Ntsane

Tshepo Ntsane

Transactor, Investment Banking, RMB

BIOGRAPHY

Tshepo Ntsane is a chemical engineer by training and a purpose-driven financier by passion. Born in Virginia, a small mining town in the Free State, Tshepo overcame humble beginnings to earn a BSc (Hons) in Chemical Engineering from UCT, an MBA from Wits, and an MPhil from GIBS—often studying two degrees concurrently. He is also a proud alumnus of the prestigious RMB Class Of Programme.

Initially inspired by a school career day, Tshepo pursued chemical engineering not because it was easy, but because it was the most challenging. His academic journey was marked by excellence, including four consecutive years on UCT’s Dean’s Merit List. Tshepo began his professional career at Sasol, where he contributed significantly to the company’s transition toward low-carbon strategies. His growing interest in the intersection of finance, sustainability, and impact led him to RMB, where he has held roles in Future Markets and Sustainability as well as the ESG Advisory team. Today, as a transactor, he brings deep technical knowledge and ESG insight to support clients navigating the evolving sustainable finance landscape.

A lifelong learner and passionate problem-solver, Tshepo continues to break boundaries—both for himself and those he inspires. His next goal: a PhD at a leading international institution.
