In an uncharted world, become an AI explorer: You don't need to be technical – just visionary.

The “fog of AI” is thick right now. But inaction is not an option – AI is already redefining nearly every part of our lives. Forward-thinking leaders need to make informed decisions about AI even while navigating unknown lands. In this session with cyborg anthropologist MJ Petroni, you'll try on new mindsets and see AI’s impacts on markets and society so that you can set direction even when the exact destination isn't clear yet. This session will look beyond Silicon Valley, sharing opportunities and threats for developing economies and existing industries who stand to advance exponentially from good use of AI. To be an AI explorer, you don't need to be technical – just visionary.

BIOGRAPHY

MJ Petroni is a cyborg anthropologist specialising in helping others understand the mental models necessary to navigate digital opportunities. His view is to help us see not just how we shape technologies, but how they are shaping us. MJ’s work enables organisations to increase their digital fluency in preparation for future technologies, raising the lowest common denominator of digital fluency for individuals, teams and entire organisations.

Since founding Causeit Inc. in 2006, MJ has shifted the thinking around digital fluency for hundreds of global enterprises, including NTT, Accenture, Volkswagen, the Gates Foundation, SWIFT and several major financial and media companies. MJ sits on the Accenture Tech Vision Advisory Board and is a faculty member at Singularity University.
