Trail runs

20km Trail Run, ascent 253m – 07:30

7km Trail Run, ascent 139m – 07:45

The first event is the Xtreme Trail Run. The trail run races will start in the same direction as the mountain bikers and it will be an uphill start. While the trail run route is picturesque, it is rocky and has a varied amount of climbing. The distance is significant, and you will need to be running-fit as well as be used to trail running. Runners’ numbers are electronically chipped and must be attached to your chest area on your running top with the safety pins provided. Please note that you will not be able to participate without a number. The 7km RUN also forms part of the Duathlon which can be entered as an individual or in a family team where any combination goes. Mom or dad could participate with their kids, or mom and dad team up to race against their kids. At the end of the day it’s all about getting active out there together as a family.
