Rob is the Global Co-CEO of Sponsors and Co-Head of Investment Banking at RMB. He has extensive experience in LBOs, MBOs, preference shares, acquisition funding and derivative backed transactions.

 

Rob was appointed Co-Head of RMB’s Investment Banking Division in July 2021. He has also taken on the role jointly managing RMB's Sponsor and Specialised Client Segment. He has been with RMB since January 2007, predominantly focused on Leveraged Finance.

Rob initially spent time in Credit and then moved to the Leveraged Finance business within IBD. He jointly headed the large private equity sponsor area, focusing on funding private equity buyouts before taking over as Co-Head of the Leveraged Finance business in 2017.

Rob has extensive experience in LBOs, MBOs, preference share and acquisition funding as well as working with derivative backed transactions. He has worked closely with many investment holding companies, family offices, private equity funds and corporates in assisting and advising them on their M&A, capital structure and funding needs. Rob is an Associate of the Faculty of Actuaries.

Rob’s wife Shani and three beautiful daughters, Daniella, Talia and Gabi are his refuge in this incredibly busy world. The family love spending time together, travelling to the beach or bush, or just being together playing games. Rob is a sports nut who loves watching soccer and rugby. He also enjoys running, playing golf and has really taken to the new padel tennis craze. He enjoys a good whisky or a glass of wine at the end of a long week, sitting in a front of a fire.
