Alison Badenhorst is the Chief Marketing Officer of RMB, bringing over 25 years of marketing and communications experience in financial services. She is passionate about building high-performing teams by unlocking individual and team potential through the collective strength of diverse skills and perspectives.

 

Alison believes in the powerful convergence of creativity and strategy to drive meaningful business results. As CMO, she focuses on building long-term brand equity and delivering measurable client and employee value through experience-led marketing and a strong culture of marketing effectiveness.

Prior to joining RMB, Alison spent 13 years at Standard Bank as the Head of Marketing and Communications for the Corporate and Investment bank. There she deepened her expertise in B2B marketing and strengthened her passion for Africa’s growth story. She also held a leadership role at Absa Capital, where she played a key role in redefining the brand’s positioning.

Alison holds an Honours degree in Business Management from Stellenbosch University. She has attended executive leadership programmes at Harvard and the Institute for Real Growth.

In her personal time she enjoys being with family and friends, spending time at the beach, swimming, and expressing her creativity through décor and design.
