Greyvensteyn is currently a fulltime lecturer at the Department of Architecture at Tshwane University of Technology, where he teaches the Design and Theory Studio at the Bachelors and Masters final exit level.
He has worked with fourth-year students since 2014 creating concrete furniture, as part of the Cool Capital Biennale, with the pieces installed all over the Pretoria city centre and at the TUT campus.
Pieter's formal studies were through the University of Pretoria and University of Cape Town. He went on to do research on the user experience of architectural space in France at the University of Nantes, completing his Masters in Architecture at the University of the Witwatersrand.
His work in architecture has been mainly residential together with the adaptive re-use of existing (modernist) multi-storey buildings.
As a fine artist, he has taken part in various group exhibitions and a solo exhibition in 2015 where synesthesia, urban maps and colour were investigated through his canvasses.
His passion lies with travel and the urban environment, both of which inspire his teaching and design work.
