Reza is the Co-CEO of Institutions and Co-Head of Global Markets. He has 18 years’ financial market experience, 15 of which have been with the FirstRand Group as Chief Financial Officer and Chief Risk Officer.
Reza joined RMB in 2009 in a finance position and rose to be the Head of Strategic Performance Measurement in 2015. He moved to Standard Bank for a brief period and returned to RMB in 2016 as Head of GM Finance. Reza has since held senior executive positions as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of RMB Global Markets; CFO of the combined RMB Global Markets and FirstRand Group Treasury Finance teams; and Chief Risk Officer for Global Markets.
Reza holds a Bachelor of Business Science Honours degree and a Post-Graduate Diploma in Accounting from UCT. He participated in the University of Johannesburg’s Advanced Banking Law, Banking Regulation programme.
Reza enjoys travelling when he can, photography, reading, and cooking (but mostly the eating part).
