Jon is the Co-CEO of Institutions and Co-Head of Global Markets with 23 years’ experience in local and international banking. He is responsible for managing the Flow Trading, Cross-Asset Financing and Trading, Business Resource Management, Structuring, and Electronic Execution business activities.

 

Jon was the Head of RMB Global Markets Trading and Execution from 2020 until his appointment as Co-Head. He joined RMB Global Markets as Head of Structured Trading in 2017.

He started his career at Deutsche Bank in London, where he was based for eight years. He relocated to their New York office in 2009 to take up the role of Head of US Front Office Capital and Risk Management. While at Deutsche Bank, he held senior positions as Global Head of Emerging Market Portfolio Risk Management; Head of South African Debt Trading; America’s Global Markets Head of Risk and Capital; and US Head of Non-Strategic Trading.

Jon has a Bachelor of Business Science Honours degree from UCT and is a CFA charterholder.

Jon enjoys getting out in nature, whether it be mountain biking or hiking and travelling with his family to remote camping locations.
