Fahmida obtained her BComm Hons (Management Accounting) degree from Stellenbosch University in 2008 and qualified through the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants in 2011 with an ACMA designation. In 2015 she completed a Masters in Commerce at Wits university.
She spent the first eight years of her career gaining management consulting, treasury, business development and strategic corporate finance experience, which included five years at a JSE-listed investment holding company. Prior to joining RMB Corvest in 2021, she worked in the Specialised Finance team at Nedbank for 5 years. In 2022, she joined Shalamuka as Executive Director, where she still heads up Shalamuka’s various investment funds.
Outside of work, Fahmida enjoys connecting with people and tries her hand at Lomography (that is new age, analogue photography).
She is married with two children.
