Watson discovered currency discrepancy at the age of seven — believing that he could profit from exchanging different monies. Always looking for a different approach, Watson transformed South African civil society lobbying by linking it directly with economic policy. This led him to travel three continents, debating with the world's economic leaders on financial policy and reforms up to the level of the G20.

Defined by his passion for Africa, Watson has also formulated solutions and strategies for companies entering the African space, while forming relationships with its leaders to better understand the business environment at the NEPAD Business Foundation.

He was introduced to RMB by a mentor who said, "The way you do things — with such entrepreneurship — that is the RMB way." With that in mind, he applied for and joined the Class Of Programme in 2014.

When Watson isn't thinking about banking and finance as Senior Transactor at RMB Corporate Finance, he does the only thing he loves more — listening to and attending the most renowned African jazz shows.
